This winter will be the second winter season at Birch Lane Resort.  This is a wonderful time to take advantage of the best the Brainerd Lakes Area has to off for winter activities.  From Snowmobiling to Cross Country Skiing to local winter  festivals, you can find something for everyone to keep everyone busy in the wintertime.

Cross Country skiing is a close as walking out your front door to the frozen lake, or you can find a groomed trail nearby. The Brainerd Nordic Ski Club has maps on it's website of area trails.

In the winter, many area towns host Christmas season celebrations like Pine River's annual Parade of Lights celebration or Nisswa's Festival of Lights. Later in the winter, Pequot Lakes is host to the annual Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous. In Nisswa it's annual Winter Jubilee, Crosslake it's Winterfest and Breezy Point it's Ice Fest.
